With the space shuttle era coming to an end, CNN iReport put out an assignment requesting personal photographs of shuttle launches. I had witnessed and photographed two which I submitted along with images of other aspects of the Space Transportation System (STS) program. I was the only one with early launches -- STS-1 and STS-7. A couple of my pictures were unique enough to tell a story without words. CNN iReport vetted several of my submissions including my profile photo for wider coverage. I thank my sister for telling me about CNN iReport!

I am of Puerto Rican heritage. With that in mind, I am researching my family history to connect my work in the space industry, my devotion to exploring life, and how my ancestors built the foundation for me. In addition, I have always found Leonardo da Vinci so I think of myself as a Renaissance woman. Over time our stories will be told and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
